A euphemistic way of saying that one needs to leave, often to go to the restroom.
（非正式）用來委婉地表示要離開一下，尤指要去洗手間。
"I've got to see a man about a dog; I'll be right back," he said as he hurried to his feet.
「我得去見個人談點事；我馬上回來，」他一邊說一邊匆匆起身。
When asked where he was going, he simply said, "I've got to see a man about a dog."
當被問到要去哪裡時，他只是說：「我得去見個人談點事。」
"I'll be back in a jiffy," she said, using 'see a man about a dog' as a convenient excuse to leave the room.
